THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY

(inspired by Dali’s painting from 1931)

What can grow from this crippled, dried container but a rotten tree
With leaves of sleazy watches hanging melted freshness
On these dead branches – like non-action-wasted dreams…

This sheet of stoned wood staying in my way
Was blocking my dynamic free horizon
With static cubic purposeless sharp edge

Sustaining this so tempting cup of poison
Ready to open to infect my present peace and
My future’s horizon with the past’s deadly germs

These crawling creepy swarms are ready to infect
Time’s depressed substance feeding parasites
Chaining my inner powers and desires
……………………………………………………..
(… My dreams and wishes seem so far away –
so hard to reach from this paralysis…)
………………………………………………………
Herewith to God I pray:

‘Help me break free from this disempowering nightmare –
and take away this choking sinking feeling!

Erase the past’s dark shadows from my way -
They’re clawing my horizon every day…
Erase the Anger – make this poison go away
Replace the creepy feeling with the fresh Today’

With courage I look clear straight ahead
And trust the angels cleaning up my head

And trust myself again – with full desire
To celebrate with joy my destiny
Embracing this serene horizon I don’t spare
A single heart beat to live my best life again!
